Welcome to Rescue1
A Movement  for Change...

Rescue1
R1 is an awareness and action campaign to expose and combat all slavery. No! No, it did not end 147 years ago with the Civil War or with the institution of The Emancipation Proclamation, 1863. The Proclamation did; however, set 3.1 million Black slaves free whereas today an estimated 30 million people are enslaved world-wide. Slavery, most commonly known as Human Trafficking, is the illegal enterprise of obtaining, holding, and selling of people in “compelled services”, against their will, for the purpose of personal and/or but not limited to financial gain.

Did You Know?

Human Trafficking is the second fastest growing criminal industry in the world, trailing the drug industry. It has an estimated revenue of $42,500,000,000

approximately the annual revenue of The Coca-Cola Company.

Approximately 80% of human trafficking is allocated to forced prostitution.

40% of those trafficked in Southeast Asia will end up in America or Europe.

America is the #1 consumer of human trafficking. This is due to national and international consumption of illegal sex and pornography.

If you suspect someone is being trafficked, any where in the US, call 1-888-3737-888.

If you live in TN, call the TN Human Trafficking Hotline, TNHTH,
